Opportunity:  

Our Product Licensing team is looking for a high energy, detail-oriented Licensing Coordinator with at least 2 years of administrative experience.  This individual will not only be responsible for managing the licensor approval process for major product license agreements, but also ensuring that internal groups such as Marketing and Product Development understand the requirements and designs of each licensor.  The Licensing Coordinator will participate in negotiations, design approvals, and license research.

Job Summary:

  • Coordinates and manages licensor approval process across a broad range of product categories for major agreements
  • Conducts complex active license and related research projects.
  • Communicates the requirements of each licensor to the applicable departments: i.e. marketing, advertising and product development.
  • Organizes and maintains a complex product database
  • Assists in licensing strategies and conducts negotiations with current licensors
  • Works with licensors and internal groups to ensure appropriate usage and understanding of trademarks, designs, and legal terms.
  • Prepares product license status reports
  • Supports the Licensing team by assisting with presentation preparation, art review and other duties as assigned
 
Required Skills:  
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2 years experience in an administrative, marketing, or legal environment
  • Highly skilled / proficient in Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access. (must be able to put together programs, spreadsheets and presentations in a timely manner)
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all levels of internal and external business partners
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Must be a self starter and HIGHLY motivated
  • The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize to ensure all tasks are competed by the due date is a must
  • Experience in giftware, collectibles industry or having an Art background is a plus
  • Exposure to legal or licensing industry a plus
