We are currently seeking an analytical, experienced manager to join our direct marketing team as a Senior Marketing Manager in our Jewelry division.  The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for preparing and executing direct mail plans to meet revenue and house file growth plans through effective planning, analyzing and implementation of mailing campaigns. In this role, goals are met by managing staff member/s and personal contribution.  This individual will team with Creative Production, Product Development and Marketing Services departments to execute marketing and sales initiatives. In addition, the Senior Marketing Manager works with the Internet marketing team to ensure website functionality exists for promotions and appropriate timing tables are met. The Senior Marketing Manager will function as an analytical resource and budget manager for the division.



  • Maximize response and ROI through effective planning, analyzing and implementation of direct to consumer mailing campaigns.
  • Customer house file or new client acquisition selections/segmentation, creative efforts, forecasting and data analysis to create optimal circulation mail plans.
  • Consider competitive market to identify and implement appropriate strategies to develop new programs and maximize existing ones.
  • Responsible to meet yearly circulation, ROI, and sales goals defined through the budget.
  • Partner with the Internet team, ensure products are ready for on-line and all systems work has been handled.  Ensure products are maximized with the appropriate channel exposure and effective timing.
  • Work with staff to ensure department goals are being met and/or exceeded. 
  • Provide feedback and training as needed to ensure personal growth and division knowledge are being developed and increased.
  • Work with Product Development to develop and grow Affinities as assigned.  Knowledge of affinity is across all channels and is communicated through developed reporting tools. 
  • Regularly update the team on program performance and possible opportunities.
  • Aggressively participate in VIP sessions to express opinions on program viability and appropriate timing.
  • Meet all individual goals as outlined and defined annually.
  • Team with Creative Production, Product Development, Marketing Services department to develop and execute marketing and sales initiatives across all channels.
  • Coordinate all details associated with a successful, cost-efficient mailing. 
  • Responsible for meeting yearly creative goal targets.
  • Function as an analytical resource to the organization including presentations, reports and professional interaction with Senior Management.
Required Skills:  
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Finance, Statistics or related field; Masters degree a plus
  • 5-8 years progressive experience in responsibilities and decision making in catalog/direct/database marketing and execution
  • 2-4 years supervisory experience
  • Direct marketing analysis and circulation planning from: a direct response marketing company, catalog or publishing environment is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of internet marketing. Experience with multi-channel marketing preferred.
  • Excellent aptitude for statistical/financial analysis is a must
  • Must be PC proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel 
  • Experience with database applications (such as Access or Cognos) preferred
  • Basic understanding of SAS, SPSS, or other statistical software
  • Proven project management skills – must be able to manage multiple projects and tasks and complete in a timely manner
  • Management/supervisory experience.  Must be able to train and mentor staff to grow them to the next level.
  • Progressive experience relative to responsibilities and decision making
  • Knowledge of an SQL based selection system, helpful
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to gain solid understanding of Bradford’s business and develop knowledge of the manufacturing process to effectively manage ordering and inventory
