BCS has been asked to indentify a Supply Chain Logistics Professional – Capital Equipment Inbound and Logistics Coordinator for one of our clients.

The initial duration of this project is up to 9 months

Our client recently acquired a technology company in Virginia and is In need of professional to help with equipment transfer logistics arriving in one of several Dallas locations.

Scope of work: 

• Planning and implementing all aspects of the traffic function, providing cost effective, efficient, and traceable movement of company and supplier products.
• Ensures that lowest cost transportation is used to satisfy both customer and internal partner needs.
• Contacts vendors, customers, carriers, etc. to coordinate any problems such as misdirected and/or damaged goods.
• May coordinate the handling of some import and export requirements.
• Daily interaction within team and across various functional groups to ensure shipment execution without delay with focus upon:
• Capital equipment shipment and transfers both domestic and international
• Support of on-site dedicated fleet operations
• Domestic LTL and TL inbound service
• Inbound supplier material and equipment

• 5+ years experience within field of Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or Distribution and/or a Bachelors degree within one of these fields.
• Project management experience. APICS, ISM, or CSCMP certification is a positive.
