We have been asked to indentify a Project Manager for one of our State of Texas clients.

Scope of work:

• The selected candidate will perform advanced project management work.
• Candidate will serve as lead project manager for Business Intelligence for and ERP project). 
• Work involves coordinating and overseeing the initiating, planning, and organizing phases of all projects assigned.
• Candidate will coordinate and facilitate project team meetings ensuring that agendas are prepared ahead of time and notes are prepared and distributed afterwards.
• You will control and monitor the progress and schedule of assigned projects.
• Candidate will communicate both verbally and in writing with various project stakeholders, management, other relevant parties both internal and external to the agency, the project status and risks as well as any outstanding issues and recommendations for resolving those issues which could not be resolved at the project team level.
• Will plan, assign, and/or coordinate the work of others both internal and external to the agency in a matrix resource environment.
• Candidate will coordinate and facilitate the day-to-day project activities for all projects assigned.
• Will develop the detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for the reporting aspects of the project. This will include, but not be limited to, creating a detailed task list for the analysis of current reports, approach for moving reports forward, monitoring the fit / gap analysis process, and the migration plan to move the historical data from various legacy systems to a reporting environment which will use Business Objects as the reporting tool.
• You will have a strong understanding of Business Objects XI 3.1 to include Crystal 2008 and Xcelsius 2008.
• Selected candidate will be under limited supervision of the Director of Innovation and Technology with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
