If you have the ability to combine Geo-Spatial skills with database skills you might be the Application Developer we are seeking.  Business Control Systems, LP (BCS), an award-winning, leading consulting firm has an immediate and pressing opportunity for a candidate of your caliber, and we are anxious to talk to you.

 

As the Application Developer you will be supporting and developing GIS mapping applications.  One of the major projects that you will be working on is the upgrade of Intergraph G/Technology to 10.x.  With this upgrade there will be extensive conversion requirements of custom functions written in VBA into VB.NET.

 
Required Skills:  
 

  

Must Have:

 

  • 5+ years developing GIS Applications (understanding of SDLC)
  • Intergraph (G/Technology, GeoMedia Professional, GeoMedia Webmap), Oracle (Oracle Spatial, PL SQL)
  • Solid .NET programming skills (VB, ASP, ADO)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (frequent interaction with business units).
  • Sound AM/FM/GIS/Mapping
  • Conceptual understanding of the SDLC
  • Ability to migrate code from VBA into VB.NET
  •  

 

Desired Skills:

 

  • Experience with Alignment Sheet Generators, High Consequence Area Analysis, & Pipeline Class Analysis would strengthen your position.
